Paying tribute to Omani heritage, this distinctive watch celebrates craftsmanship, innovation and the Sultanate’s rich culture. Inspired by Oman’s seas, landscapes and traditions, its striking gradient blue dial proudly features the name “Sultanate of Oman” and the Omani khanjar. The artistic calligraphy decorating the watch deepens its connection to Oman’s history and traditions, while reflecting Hublot’s association with art and calligraphy.

The seconds hand has a white, red and green tip, echoing the Omani flag and its symbols of unity, pride and heritage.

The 42 mm Hublot Classic Fusion Titanium Gradient Blue Oman features a polished and satin-finished dark titanium case and a brushed titanium bezel. Its dial is decorated with the Omani khanjar and distinctive calligraphy, complemented by the three-colour seconds-hand tip. Powered by Hublot’s HUB1110 self-winding movement, the watch offers a 42-hour power reserve and a date window at 3 o’clock.

The blue alligator leather strap expresses luxury and distinction, with a black microblasted steel folding clasp adding a refined finishing touch.

Attention to detail is evident throughout the watch, from its design elements to its exceptional craftsmanship, making it a distinctive piece for watch enthusiasts and connoisseurs.

Each watch is meticulously crafted to the highest standards of quality and precision, making it a prestigious addition to any luxury watch collection. The edition is limited to just 50 pieces.

The Hublot Classic Fusion Titanium Gradient Blue Oman is now available at Mistal boutiques across the Sultanate, ready to grace the wrists of discerning watch enthusiasts.

About Hublot

Hublot is a Swiss watchmaker founded in 1980 and based in Nyon, Switzerland. Its first watch combined gold with a rubber strap and took inspiration from a ship’s porthole, or “hublot” in French. This marked the beginning of the Art of Fusion, bringing together tradition, innovation and diverse expertise.

This approach became Hublot’s aesthetic and technical signature. In 2005, the Big Bang strengthened that identity, showcasing the brand’s expertise in advanced materials including carbon, titanium, ceramic and sapphire.

The Classic Fusion, Spirit of Big Bang and Manufacture Pieces collections combine artistic craftsmanship, distinctive materials and advanced in-house movements.

Hublot also maintains strong partnerships in football, art, music, fine dining and environmental projects such as SORAI and Polar Pod. It has more than 130 boutiques worldwide, alongside its official website, Hublot.com.

Mistal and Franck Muller offer two exclusive editions to watch enthusiasts in Oman

Franck Muller Logo

Iconic watch manufacturer, Franck Muller and Oman’s leading luxury watch and lifestyle boutique, Mistal have collaborated to create two limited-edition collections.

The two forces from the horology universe have come together to launch the collections that showcase 50 individually numbered timepieces in the Vanguard model and 10 Vanguard Crazy Hours. Made exclusively for the Sultanate, the Franck Muller Vanguard Oman Edition and Vanguard Crazy Hours have been created in association with Mistal.

The fascinating Franck Muller Vanguard Oman Edition and Vanguard Crazy Hour feature a hand-brushed Grade-2 titanium case measuring 41.0 mm in diameter, 49.95 mm in length, 12.2 mm thick and are water resistant up to 30 metres. The Vanguard Crazy Hour gets a special touch with a red crown tip along with a hologram on the dial — a first for this Franck Muller model.

Both the novelties feature Islamic/Indian hours, minutes, and seconds hands that are super luminous. The date display at 6 o’clock is luminous as well. The distinctive applique numerals have been meticulously hand-polished and hand-brushed in both collections, staying true to Franck Muller craftsmanship.

For the first time, Franck Muller released a dial featuring the Sultanate of Oman written in Arabic calligraphy at the 6 o’clock position enclosed in sapphire crystal glass.

The winding shaft has three positions for winding, date setting, and time setting. The movement decoration includes Côtes de Genève and brushing soleil papier on the bridges and rotor. The main plate has circular graining on both sides and chamfered bridges. Components feature 24k gold bath and rhodium plating, with gold-finished engravings. The rotor ball bearing is circular brushed; the barrel brushed soleil papier and polished at 45°. The screws are polished and blued.

The bracelet is hand-sewn alligator/rubber with a black PVD coating and a brushed Grade-2 titanium folding buckle. These self-winding references are powered by Franck Muller’s in-house 800-DT automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve — a fine showmanship of watchmaking technology and traditional know-how.

Each of these models has been designed and executed by Mistal with the support of Franck Muller. Franck Muller timepieces are characterised by complicated movements and original designs — aptly known as “The Master of Complications.”

The Aramedes Mecca Collection: A Watch for the Spirited

The Aramedes Mecca Collection: A Watch for the Spirited

Muscat: Time management is crucial for success as sustaining focus on both ‘work’ and ‘personal’ aspects of life is increasingly become difficult in a world flooded with newer technologies. Paradoxically, the smartwatches enter our lives in the garb of ‘wellness’ gadgets but make us hyperfocus on the ‘trackers’ while ignoring the traditional way of life that nurtures not just our bodies but the very spirit.

Taking cognizance of this gap, Swiss Watch company– Aramedes has launched a constellation of beautiful mechanical watches under its ‘Mecca Collection’ to pay tribute to the Muslim way of life.

Interestingly, the name Aramedes is an acronym that encapsulates the makers’ intent. “AR stands for the Arabian Peninsula because it is the cradle of Islamic world with a rich history in timekeeping, astronomy and mathematics. M stands for Mecca or Medina, the two holy cities. DES stands for Design Engineering Switzerland,” reveals Tom Morf, Aramedes Founder and CEO who is a recipient of prestigious awards in his 25-year-long career.

The Mecca collection from Aramedes comprises 4 watches — Mastertimer Qibla, Mastertimer Sawm, Mastertimer Salah and Mastertimer Salah Tourbillon Automatic — designed as restrained and timeless pieces with subtle echoes of the 1960s and ‘70s style.

Connected with the variables of sunrise and sunset time and geographic location, these features were easier conceptualised than crafted. As Tom puts it, the challenge was to integrate “electrical engineering, IT software into a mechanical movement, and to bring it into a watch that looks like a Swiss watch with a timeless design, that has got substance.”

Driving “innovation while preserving heritage,” Aramedes collaborated with Supercomputing Systems to patent a module to solve these challenges. “The AraTec 1 module is a tiny layer of electronics that do the complicated calculations. Made in Switzerland, it calculates the location of the wearer via mobile radio triangulation that helps locate the direction of Mecca,” reveals Per Trifunovic, Chairman of Aramedes Board, who studied software engineering at the prestigious Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.

The module uses Bluetooth to pair up with mobile phone through an app that helps locate the change in geographical location and shift in time zones – basis the phone GPS.

Not only does this preserve the integrity of the mechanical watch but also eliminates the need for frequent battery change. Infact, the small lithium battery that powers the module can last for 5 years.

The watches that started as an idea in 2016, finally were unveiled at the 2021 Dubai Watch Week to an enthusiastic response after years of passionate research and innovation.

Paying homage to the Islamic way of life, the Aramedes collection tells the story of cultural heritage with fascinating details. The back of the dial has beautiful engraving and the logo gentle Lion adorns the crown – the protective ‘Coat of Arms’ from Zurich. Controlling the heart of the watch as you unwind it, the lion reminds you that at its very heart, it is Swiss Design Engineering!

Speaking on behalf of Mistal, Aramedes’ partner in Oman, Dharmesh A. Khimji, Managing Director of Mistal said: “With great pride we bring this special collection that pays homage to our heritage and culture while staying ahead of the innovation game. The watches can be customised and make for great gifts and keepsakes.”

The Aramedes Watch Collection will be available exclusively at the luxury watch and jewellery boutique Mistal in Muscat.
